Sick, work and the art of being in a circus
Monday, February 23rd, 2009This past week was quite interesting. I was home sick with bronchitis, fever, sinus infection and what the doctor was calling “a touch of the flu”. I am not sure what a touch is but I had been touched. I NEVER go to the doctor so the fact that I paid a visit 3x this past week should have been a very good indicator to those around me that I MUST really be sick. I couldn’t do much of anything – not even speak. I am sure my husband was ok with that. Orders and work piled up and I did what I could and the girls helped to try to keep me”somewhat on track”. I never thought I was much of one to juggle, but I think I can now and I think I am pretty good – it’s been quite a circus around here.
I juggle, being sick, work, the kids, the house the husband and nothing “dropped”. Rest! everyone says…but the little rest I got is now being consumed with playing catch up.
Fashion week just ended and I found it to be quite inspiring – stay tuned to see what I dreamed up while lying sick – I mean while juggling.
Be well everyone and check back often as our “blog” will soon be updated with a much BETTER and interesting writer!
holiday season . . .and stuff
Saturday, November 15th, 2008well the holiday season is among us…well as far as holiday photo cards are concerned anyway. we are so excited - our cards are doing well and we enjoying n at all the family photos that are chosen for our cards. we’ve added Annabelle’s Creations to face book. it’s a world of it’s own and I am amazed daily of the network of friends and people I have met through it. unfortunately i haven’t had as much time as i’d like to devote to it but the little bit i have is spent having fun using it.
my son daniel has spent all day today making cards. (hmm…where does he get that from?) they are not the cards you would imagine though. we are going to a GIANTS game tomorrow and he has made cards for us to hold up in support of our team. ;o) i hope they win as it’s their first football game….so GO GIANTS!!! and go Daniel and your creativity….
Preparing for ISA Meeting
Wednesday, October 1st, 2008Wow it’s the first day in October! where did the time go? I am preparing to go to the Invitation & Stationery Alliance Fall Meeting in Portland, Oregon. It’s a wonderful meeting that allows all ISA members to come together for an exchange of ideas and business strategies. I really look forward to it but I am already missing the kids.
We have already received quite a few photo holiday card orders! It’s so exciting! It’s great to know people love them as much as we do!
talk soon!

The close of summer. . . . . .
Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008Well my boys go back to school tomorrow. Although a part of me hears the Staples commercial “it’s the most wonderful part of the year”, there is another part of me that misses them terribly. Summer tends to be a bit slower for us so I can usually bow out a bit early leaving others in charge or bring the kids with me to the office for a few hours. Anyone with kids can tell you – it REALLY does go by so fast! Daniel is going into second grade which means he will be on the bus with 5th graders – yikes! Anyway – it also means that the holidays are not far behind.
For those of you that have become Holiday Photo Card retailers, you should all have received your albums by now. PLEASE feel free to call with any questions you may have. We are looking forward to working all of you this holiday season.
OK enough with that – it’s 88 degrees out – I need to enjoy the present before it fades.
Talk soon

Thursday, July 31st, 2008Holiday Photo Cards
Thursday, July 31st, 2008The Holiday Photo Cards album (Holiday Celebrations) will start to ship out on Monday, August 4th. Yippee! We are so excited about the album. Our favorite card changes daily! I’ve started to put together my own family holiday card and I’ve changed the design several times. We hope everyone is as excited and does well with the new line.
Well – gotta go if we want to stary on target for a Monday ship date.

Friday’s
Friday, July 25th, 2008
I love Friday’s. We have summer hours on Friday’s. I never seem to adhere to them until almost the week before they end but at least the rest of us here can get off a bit early. Tomorrow is Kevin’s birthday (my youngest). He will be turning 6. Everyone ALWAYS says it goes so fast and you pay them no mind until you start to look back and realize – wow it goes so fast. Daniel (big brother) is 7. They truly are the joy of my life. I could not imagine loving anyone or anything more.
Daniel wants to run Annabelle’s Creations when he gets older (if it were up to him, tomorrow). He often tells me how I need more marketing and asks what’s my best seller – did I mention he’s 7? Sadly, I actually engage him in conversation – he truly has good ideas.

The new world of blogging….hmm..for me anyway
Thursday, July 24th, 2008Today I decided it would be “blogging day”. Not sure why today – as we are swamped here but today is the day. I will try my best to come up with new and exciting stuff every so often….
The holiday album is wrapping up and almost ready to ship…whew! Hard to imagine as we sit here in an air conditioned room, with very hot and humid weather outside, that we are working on holiday cards.
I hope you are all enjoying the summer and spending as much time with family and friends as possible. The nice weather always has a way of placing a smile on my face and I wish the same for all of you! Well, enough with my blogging break! Hope to be able to add more shortly – until then, enjoy your summer smiles!
